In 2016 the trustees of St Marys Eskadale embarked on a huge restoration project on the externals of the church. After 5 years of hard work it was complete in mid 2021, but the grand opening was delayed until 12th of June 2022. We were blessed with a beautiful summers evening and following a Mass given by the Bishop of Aberdeen, the church was formally opened by Lord Lovat’s baby daughter Vaila who cut the ribbon.
A commemorative whisky was also made for the occasion and some remains for sale in Beauly via the Lovat Estate office. Eskadale Whisky – ST MARY’S ESKADALE
