My great grandfather – Donald Keith-Fraser, born in Argentina, was one of Lord Lovats illegitimate sons. After his birth in Argentina his mother and he returned to Scotland whereby she was set up in the town of Keith. At some point in his life he changed his name to Keith-Fraser as he claimed he was not a real Fraser. Donald lived in Natal in South Africa and married with two daughters – Mia and Jean. Jean Fraser our grandmother married Robert Leycester (Irishman) and they had two daughters, Juliana and Josephine. Juliana Katherine Leycester, my mother, married Redmond Orpen and they had four sons Roger, Titus, Mungo and Dominic- all who currently live in SA. We have six children between the four of us. Very late in his life Donald was contacted by Lord Lovats attorneys while living in Natal but he declined to further this contact. All we know of our Fraser heritage is this.
