My mother is Fraser by birth and she is a direct descendent of Hugh Fraser 7th Lord of Lovat. Our family have lived in Virginia since 1745 when we were forced from Inverness-Shire as Jacobites. Since we lived in Virginia our family mixed with other Scotsmen-Americans like the Wallace's, Douglasses, Campbells and many more but the Fraser's blood has stayed strong and even to this day we tell stories of how James Carr Fraser served in the Revolutionary war against the British as an ironic sense of fate from 30 years prior when we lost at the battle of Culloden!
