My 3rd Great-Grandfather, Donald Fraser came to Nova Scotia in 1821 from Inverness-shire, Scotland. Shortly after he settled in Bay du Vin, New Brunswick and married Christie Anabella McDonald, the daughter of Alexander McDonald of the historic McDonald's farm in Bartibog, New Brunswick. He was a school teacher by profession and opened one of the first school houses in Bay du Vin.
