I am a Frise, a distant ancestor of the Fraser's. Thought to have derived from the names de Fresel, de Friselle or de Freseliere which are french variations. Much of the reasoning to how the Frise's came around is a mystery but some think that it was corrupted in history by scrolls. I have also searched my family tree back to Edmond Furse which is another spelling of the name which somewhat changed to Frise, a separate branch going back to the Fraser's.
