My great x 5 grandfather was Corporal Thomas Fraser (b. 1755, Boleskine, Inverness, Scotland…d. 1837 Nashwaak Bridge, New Brunswick, Canada). He was a member of the 42nd Blackwatch Regiment and fought for the British in the Battle of Yorktown. In 1783, he and other members of the Blackwatch Regiment settled in what is now New Brunswick Canada. I have traced his roots back to Sir Frezel de Freteval (b. 1000 d. 1044) and his wife Adierne de Montdoubleau (b. 990 – ?) He was born in Loir et Cher France.
