The Fiery Cross is the ancient Highland call for the clan to gather from the Chief, summoned by runners carrying two burning sticks tied with a strip of linen and dipped in blood.
The clan also welcome those who would be Bowl O'Meal Frasers. Simon 11th Lord Lovat, the Old Fox, was known to offer a large bag of grain/meal to those native to the Fraser country when they took the name of Fraser. The terms were clear, that they adopt the concerns of the Clan, offering loyalty and sword to the chief. They became known as Boll O' Meal Fraser's"
